Troika Equestrian Centre offers a range of alternative therapies for the equine athlete. A conventional diagnosis however, and a close co-operation with a veterinarian is required. The following are some of the services we offer here at Troika:

Laser acupuncture in combination with homeopathic remedies offers a wide range of very effective, non-invasive, alternatives to conventional treatments.

The Troika team uses state of the art diagnostic and treatment equipment by Reimers & Jansen from Germany. It has been proven to effectively treat most of the following problems in our equine partners;

Acute lameness caused by sprains, contusions, infected arthritis, tendosynovitis, chronic lameness such as tarsal osteoarthropathy and arthroses; chronic obstructive bronchitis, various forms of colic, odontology treatment of surgical wounds like “kissing spines” and a large variety of back problems. Many of these problems can be treated with a high rate of success.

Laser treatment helps to cut the downtime in cases where horses suffer from infected saddle sores. It is very effective in aiding and speeding up wound healing. Fertility problems as well as many urinary tract problems respond favourably to Laser treatment as well.

The healing of bone fractures and problems with de-calcified bones have been treated successfully too.
